The MOSI (medial oblique shell inclination) was first introduced in 2008 as a modification to aid in controlling the difficult pronator with a medial deviated subtalar joint axis. By aligning the post of the orthotic in the direction of a medial axis, more control can be obtained from the appliance. The MedaFeet MOSI incorporates the MOSI post to the semi-flexible shell.  The MOSI post is graded to allow the clinician with a grinder to reduce the posting material as required to obtain the degree of MOSI most beneficial to the patient. As with the FittaFeet and Unified Orthotic, the shell is cut narrow beneath the first ray to aid unrestricted hallux dorsiflexion while the appliance is prevented from moving in the shoe via a full width top cover.  The shell material is thermo-mouldable to allow for shell contour customisation if required.
